- The final session of one of the cooler April conferences in recent years carried on the bright spirit of the previous sessions, ending with a stirring rendition of "Redeemer of Israel," by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
President Thomas S. Monson conducted the session, and the invocation was offered by Elder Loren C. Dunn of the Seventy. Other music by the Choir included "Guide us, O Thou Great Jehovah" and "I Stand All Amazed."
An interesting moment came when Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve illustrated "lift" of air by blowing through a spool of thread.
President Gordon B. Hinckley's closing remarks, in which he said, "It is the future with which we must be concerned," provided a fitting conclusion to an uplifting conference.
The benediction was offered by Elder John E. Fowler of the Seventy.
