Steve Cleveland, basketball coach of Fresno City College, has been named BYU men's basketball coach, it was announced March 11.

Cleveland, 45, had led FCC to a 30-3 overall record as of the date of the announcement and his Rams have been the top-ranked community college men's team in California the past six weeks.Cleveland played college basketball for the University of California-Irvine. Prior to attending UC-Irvine he served a Church mission to England. He serves as gospel doctrine teacher and in the high priests group leadership.
