The First Presidency has announced the calling of four members of the Young Women General Board, They are:
- Silvia Allred, Willow Canyon 8th Ward, Sandy Utah East Stake; homemaker, former school teacher in San Salvador; recently returned from Paraguay Asuncion Mission where husband, Jeffry A. Allred, served as mission president, served in Church auxiliaries on ward and stake levels in El Salvador, missionary in Central American Mission; Girl Scout leader and coordinator in several countries.
- Janet Griffin Lee, Rock Canyon Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont South Stake; homemaker, former school teacher; ward Young Women president, has also served in various Relief Society, Young Women, Sunday School and Primary callings; serves on Deseret Book board of directors, served on PTA boards in Utah and Virginia; married thelate Rex E. Lee, former president of BYU.
- Christine Payne Olsen, Eaglewood Ward, north Salt Lake Utah Stake; OB-GYN nurse, homemaker; stake Young Women president, served in all auxiliaries at ward and stake levels, served with husband, Bruce L. Olsen, when he presided over Boston Massachusetts Boston Mission; has served on PTA boards and was Utah County chairman for Daffodil Days for American Cancer Society.
- Laurie Bankhead Swim, Jordan Meadows Ward, Salt Lake Granger East Stake; homemaker; counselor in ward Relief Society presidency, former ward Primary couselor and president, stake primary counselor, Relief Society teacher, counselor and on student stake Relief Society board, Young Women adviser; serves on Board of the Utah Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge; married to Gaylord K. Swim.
