Eight more mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and their assignments are:

- Terrence J. Barry, 67, Australia Sydney North Mission; Haileah 1st Ward, Fort Lauderdale Florida Stake; former mission president's counselor, institute instructor, stake president and counselor, high councilor, and bishop; orthopedic surgeon; received bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Harvard University, doctorate in medicine from Cornell University; born in Toledo, Ohio, to Ronald Lawrence and Alice Barry; married Matrina Evanoff, four children. She is stake seminary supervisor; former stake Young Women president, stake Relief Society president, Sunday School and seminary teacher, and ward Primary president; received bachelor's degree in English from Pennsylvania State University and in education from Barry University, master's degree in English from Barry University, and is a doctoral candidate in education at Barry University; born in Erie, Pa., to Harry Michael and Tatiana Evanoff.- Hyae-Kee Min, 48, Korea Seoul West Mission; Pusan 3rd Ward, Pusan Korea Stake; mission president's counselor; former regional representative, stake president, counselor in district presidency, and bishop; institute director; received bachelor's degree in architecture and master's degree in education, both from Dong-A University; born in Kyung Nam, Korea, to Byung-Pyo Min and In-Gyu Son; married Sung-sook Kim, one child. She is ward Relief Society president; former stake music chairman, counselor in stake Relief Society presidency, and Sunday School teacher; born in Pusan, Korea, to Hyung-kyung Kim and Bok-hee Pak.

- David F. Paulsen, 50, Brazil Curitiba Mission; East Millcreek 6th Ward, Salt Lake East Millcreek Stake; former high councilor, stake Young Men president, counselor in bishopric and in branch presidency, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Brazil Central Mission; projects administrator for temples and special projects for the Church; received bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from BYU; born in Salt Lake City to Finn Bergstedt and Sara Melissa Broadbent Paulsen; married Deirdre Murray, five children. She is temple preparation class teacher; former counselor in stake Primary presidency, counselor in ward Young Women presidency, Young Single Adults adviser, MIA-Maid and Laurel adviser, activities committee member, and Relief Society teacher; received bachelor's degree in English and French, and master's degree in American literature and humanities, both from BYU; born in Salt Lake City to Richard Millard and M. Ramona Rider Murray.

- Amado Rojas G., 48, Mexico Culiacan; Valle Ward, Mexico City Mexico Anahuac Stake; mission president's counselor; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, temple ordinance worker, bishop, institute instructor, and missionary in the Mexico City Mission; family history service center manager for the Church; received bachelor's degree in business management from BYU; born in Tecalco, Mexico, to Sidrac Garcia and Juana Lozano Gress Rojas; married Leonila Rivera, seven children. She is ward chorister; former counselor in stake Primary presidency, stake missionary, stake choir director, ward Primary president, counselor in Relief Society presidency, and seminary teacher; born in Tecalco, Mexico, to Saul Del Rosario and Isabel Rosales Trueba Rivera.

- James A. Stephens, 59, Virginia Richmond Mission; Apex Ward, Raleigh North Carolina Stake; stake employment specialist and Cubmaster; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, stake mission president, stake Young Men president, and bishop and counselor; retired management consultant for IBM; received bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from North Carolina State University; born in Raleigh, N.C., to James Fletcher and Veatrice Moore Stephens; married Sandra Rhodes, three children. She is Beehive adviser; former stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society and Primary president, meetinghouse librarian, activities committee member, Primary and seminary teacher; received bachelor's degree in elementary education from Western Carolina University; born in Asheville, N.C., to William Ashley and La Gonda Hammonds Rhodes.

- Leslie Steward, 46, California Arcadia Mission; Laie 4th Ward, Laie Hawaii North Stake; former stake president and counselor, bishop and counselor, ward clerk, and elders quorum president; vice president for operations at the Polynesian Cultural Center; received bachelor's degree in accounting and business management from BYU-Hawaii, and master's degree in strategic planning from Central Michigan University; born in Sydney, Australia, to Cecil Peter and Florina Martens Steward; married Nanette Kajiyama, two children. She is ward Relief Society secretary; former ward Primary president and secretary, inservice leader, librarian, and Primary teacher; received bachelor's degree and professional diploma in elementary education, both from BYU-Hawaii; born in Hilo, Hawaii, to Yukio and Helen Haunani Lee Kajiyama.

- Stanley A. Taylor, 63, Idaho Boise Mission; Edgemont 5th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont South Stake; high priests group leader; former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop, counselor in branch presidency, choir director, and missionary in the Northern States Mission; professor of political science at BYU; received bachelor's degree in political science from BYU, and master's and doctoral degrees in international politics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston; born in Provo, Utah, to Melvin John and Arma Hancock Taylor; married Victoria Richards, five children. She is a former stake Relief Society president and homemaking leader, stake activities committee member, ward Young Women president, Relief Society homemaking counselor, Primary chorister, assistant choir director, and Sunday School teacher; received bachelor's degree in education and music from BYU; born in Salt Lake City to Lynn Stephen and Lucille Janette Covey Richards.

- Gerald R. Williams, 56, France Bordeaux Mission; Edgemont 14th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont Stake; Sunday School teacher; former counselor in stake presidency, high councilor, branch president, and missionary in the Paris France Mission; professor of law at BYU; received bachelor's degree in history from BYU, and juris doctorate from the University of Utah; born in Tooele, Utah, to Ross Gerald and Luara Johnson Williams; married Claudia Clark, five children. She is Relief Society teacher; former ward Relief Society Young Women president, Laurel adviser, Primary teacher, Sunday School teacher, Relief Society teacher, and missionary in the Paris France Mission; received bachelor's degree in microbiology and master's degree in social work from BYU; born in Oakland, Calif., to Antone Ivins and Grace Plimpton Lewis Clark.
