- After welcoming the congregation to the second session of conference Saturday afternoon, President James E. Faust added, "We are especially grateful for the presence of Elder Drew Peterson at this session."

Elder Andrew W. Peterson of the Seventy was attending his first conference session since being seriously injured one year ago in an accident near his family cabin.

President Faust, second counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the session. The Murray Young Women Choir, under direction of Vicki Belnap with Linda Margetts at the organ, provided the music. They performed "I Stand All Amazed," "I'll Serve the Lord While I Am Young" and "Sweet Is the Work."

Elders Kenneth Johnson and F. Burton Howard, both the Seventy, offered the opening and closing prayers, respectively.
