- "Don't they look good?" President Gordon B. Hinckley remarked as he opened the priesthood session. He was referring to a returned missionary choir from the Ephraim, Logan, Ogden, Orem and Salt Lake institutes of religion in Utah.

Indeed, the choir constituted a striking visual aid for sermons at the session, as the Brethren counseled returning missionaries to maintain the spirit and standards they had on their missions. Under the direction of Douglas Brenchley, the choir presented not only an impeccable sound, but an immaculate appearance, as each young man maintained the dress and grooming of his mission.

After the opening hymn, President Hinckley remarked: "I think that choir would have been able to sing that song, "Redeemer of Israel," in at least a score of languages. What a marvelous and wonderful thing is this missionary program!"

Elder Gary J. Coleman and Elder Neil L. Andersen, both of the Seventy, offered the invocation and benediction, respectively, at the session.
