Three new stakes have been created, two in the Philippines and one in South Africa.

The Bedfordview South Africa Stake, which includes the Bedfordview, Edenvale, Germiston, Tembisa and Vereeniging wards, and the Katlehong, Maseru and Welkom branches, has been created by Elder Dennis E. Simmons of the Seventy.The Cainta Philippines Stake has been created by Elder Duane B. Gerrard of the Seventy. It includes the Angono, Cainta 1st and 2nd, Taytay 1st and 2nd, and Tayuman wards.

The Valenzuela Philippines Stake, which includes the Iba, Malanday, Malinta, Marulas and Valenzuela wards, and the Bocaue, Meycauayan and Santa Maria Bulacan branches has been created by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Seventy.

Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Australia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Philippines and South Africa, and in California, Florida, Louisiana, Oregon and Utah.

CAINTA PHILIPPINES STAKE: (Jan. 18, 1998) Created from the Pasig Philippines Stake and the Angono Philippines District.
