Members of the First Presidency have asked the Church News to convey their thanks and appreciation for the many cards, letters and other Christmas greetings from members of the Church.

Because of the high volume of mail they receive each day, President Gordon B. Hinckley and his counselors, President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust, are unable to respond personally to each greeting.

Along with their expressions of appreciation for these greetings, they express gratitude to members and friends for their faith and prayers, and extend to them warm wishes for the new year.
