When a person violates any of God's commandments and does not repent, the Lord withdraws his protective, sustaining influence.
"When we lose power with God, we know of a certainty that the problem lies within us and not with God."
The priesthood authorizes men to act as the Lord's agents and perform blessing-rich ordinances. It is a mighty thing to bear God's priesthood.
When a man receives the priesthood, he assumes a sacred responsibility to magnify that priesthood.
"This requires each one of us to serve with diligence, to teach with faith and testimony, to lift and strengthen those whose lives we touch."
There should be nothing casual about holding the priesthood, a mantle of honor and power.
Christ is the perfect example and has promised church members all he has if they faithfully bear his priesthood and magnify their callings.
"We become joint heirs with him in the kingdom of his Father."
