Eight new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and their assignments are:

Glen Harlan Clark, 66, Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission; Short Hills Ward, Scotch Plains New Jersey Stake; patriarch and missionary in the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission; former temple worker, member of Church writing committee for Sunday School manual, mission president's counselor, stake president's counselor, high councilor, stake seventies president, stake missionary, bishop, Young Men president, counselor in Sunday School presidency, priests quorum adviser, Sunday School teacher, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Great Lakes Mission; retired elementary school principal; received bachelor's degree and master's degree in elementary education from the University of Utah, and doctor of education degree from Columbia University; born in Coalville, Utah, to Leonard and Edith Clark Clark; married Mary Alice Jeppson, six children. She is serving with her husband as a missionary in the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission; former member of stake Relief Society board, stake public affairs director, and ward Relief Society and Primary president; received bachelor's degree in history, English and education from the University of Utah, and master's degree from Teacher's College at Columbia University; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Gaddis and Zorah Horne Jeppson.

Ross Martin Madsen, 52, Brazil Recife Mission; Granger 10th Ward, Salt Lake Granger East Stake; stake president's counselor; former high councilor, stake executive secretary, bishop and counselor, ward executive secretary, elders quorum president, Sunday School teacher, Cubmaster, and missionary in the Guatemala/El Salvador Mission; Granger High School teacher; received bachelor's degree in history and Spanish, and master's degree in education, both from the University of Utah; born in Gunnison, Utah, to Martin Christian and Lois Mary Andrus Madsen; married Eleanor Ellice Chambers, four children.
