The First Presidency has announced that the dates for the dedication of the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple have been changed. The dates previously announced for the temple's dedication were May 22-24.
The temple will open its doors to the public June 26-July 17. The temple will be dedicated in 11 sessions on Aug. 1-3.
The Guayaquil temple was announced March 31, 1982. Ground was broken for the 45,000 square-foot edifice Aug. 10, 1996.
When dedicated, the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple will be the Church's 58th temple. The new temple will be the sixth in South America and is one of six currently under construction in South America.
