LDS fathers all over the world are making sacrifices to spend time with their children. It doesn't matter what they do or if it costs money or not. All that matters, say several children, is that on top of work and Church responsibilities, their fathers are making time for them. Following are several examples of fathers spending time with their children:

Garth Mackie, a member of the Coffs Harbour Branch, Australia Sydney North Mission, is the father of three young and energetic boys. He loves to spend time with his boys walking in the bush and going to the beach, where he is teaching his oldest children to surf.

Eric Freestone of the Platte Woods Ward, Platte City Missouri Stake, attends baseball games with his three children.

Alexander Eonin of the Yekaterinburg District, Russia Yekaterinburg Mission, spends time fishing with his son and daughter. Brother Eonin and his son often play trumpet duets.

Kwasi Agyare-Dwomoh of the Florida Ward, Soweto South Africa Stake, and his three children like to play board games, especially Monopoly. He also takes the children camping, where they have a braai or barbecue.

Andrey Peshkov of the Voskresensky Branch, Ukraine Kiev Mission, has five children. He enjoys telling them stories about the Book of Mormon, Church history, Church leaders, and especially about the temple that will soon be built in Kiev.

Steven Sowards, of the Willow Bay 2nd Ward, Bennion Utah West Stake, likes to ride bikes and play kick ball in the yard with his three children. When they can't go outside, they play hide-and-seek in the house.

Elisavet Gangov of the Pazardjik Branch, Bulgaria Sofia Mission, makes an effort to do individual things with each of his three children. He has a standing tennis date each Saturday with his daughter and frequently plays with his oldest son on the computer. A real family treat is a trip to a fast-food restaurant on the outskirts of the city — where the father and his children can play on a playground, get balloons and be together.

Lau Ying Keung of the Tsimshatsui Ward, Hong Kong Kowloon East Stake, is teaching his five children how to play chess. The family also enjoys hiking together.

Tommy Rothmann of the Vereeniging Ward, Bedfordview South Africa Stake, loves to play rugby in the local park with his four children.

Gregory Harmer of the Binghamton Ward, Owego New York Stake, spends time with his 23-month-old son every night when he gives him a bath and gets him ready for bed. They also enjoy singing songs.

Pyotr Nikolaichev of the Central Branch, Novosibirsk Russia District, plays his guitar and sings Russian folk songs to his three children. They help him plant, tend and harvest fruits and vegetables. On New Year's Eve, Brother Nikolaichev dresses as Uncle Frost (a Russian combination of Santa Claus and Father Time) and entertains his family.

Peter Vaclav of the Trencin Branch, Czech Prague Mission, helps his son work on Scouting merit badges and takes his daughter to her music lessons.
