Jerry N. Martin, 67, Hilliard Ward, Columbus Ohio Stake, has been called as president of the Columbus Ohio Temple, now nearing completion. Pres. Martin's wife, Norma Jane Gentry Martin, will serve as temple matron. Pres. Martin, current-ly executive secretary to an Area Authority Seventy, is a former stake president's counselor, stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor, high priests group leader and YMMIA superintendent. An assistant to the director of Information Technology Services of the State Teacher's Retirement System of Ohio, he received bachelor's and master's degrees in math education from Ohio State University. He was born in Manchester, Ohio, to Leonard Douglas and Martha Lucile Holderness Martin. Sister Martin, a former ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president and counselor in stake Relief Society and Primary presidencies, attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She was born in Loveland, Ohio, to Lucian Denver and Leckie Florence Bowles Gentry. Parents of six children.
