Eight new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. The mission presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Their assignments will be announced later. Here are their names and biographical information:

Margaret and Ned Clark Arnold

Ned Clark Arnold, 60, Lancaster 3rd Ward, Harrisburg Pennsylvania Stake; stake president; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and counselor, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in West German Mission; recently retired engineering/manufacturing executive for New Holland Inc.; received MBA degree from University of Utah; born in Ogden, Utah, to Henry Lynn and Rhoda Jane Clark Arnold; married Margaret Mae Winn; four children. She is a stake director of public affairs; former Primary music director, ward organist, ward Young Women president and counselor, stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women counselor, branch Relief Society president, and branch and ward Primary president; attended University of Utah, State University of New York and Utah State University; born in Logan, Utah, to Glen Riches and Mae Huber Winn.

Carole and John Linford Blood

John Linford Blood, 61, Greenway Ward, Paradise Valley Arizona Stake; missionary at Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors Center; former high priests group leader, family history center director, ward and stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop, and missionary in the Southwest Indian Mission; retired from Lucent Technologies; received master's degree in information sciences from University of Chicago; born in Ogden, Utah, to Howard Layton and Marcelle Linford Blood; married Carole Eugenie Barney; six children. She is a missionary at Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors Center; former stake music chairman, family history center director, stake Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and adviser, ward Relief Society president and counselor, and stake and ward organist; organ and piano teacher; received bachelor's degree in music from Metropolitan State College of Denver; born in Payson, Utah, to Oren Earl and Thelma Brown Barney.

Richard Owen and Penny Clark

Richard Owen Clark, 60, Mount Olympus 8th Ward, Salt Lake Mount Olympus North Stake; first counselor in Sigma Gamma Chi presidency; former high councilor, stake mission president, bishop's counselor, high priests group leader, branch president, and missionary in Central German Mission; Church Educational System instructor; received doctorate in higher education from University of Southern California; born in Ogden, Utah, to Owen Morrell and Alpha Caroline Dietz Clark; married Penny Joyce Christofferson; five children. She is a Primary teacher, former seminary teacher, Sunday School gospel doctrine teacher, counselor in ward Relief Society presidency, teacher in Young Women and Relief Society, and missionary in California Mission; attended BYU and Weber State University; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wallace and Ada Berneice Baker Christofferson.

John Phillip and Barbara Colton

John Phillip Colton, Potomoc Ward, Washington D.C. Stake; temple ordinance worker; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, branch president and counselor, district president's counselor, stake executive secretary, seminary teacher, high priests group leader, ward Young Men president, and missionary in South German Mission; senior scientist with U.S. State Department; received bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from University of Utah and did graduate work at University of Idaho and University of Missouri; born in Vernal, Utah, to Hugh Wilkins and Marguerite Baxter Maughn Colton; married Barbara Snyder; four children. She is a temple ordinance worker, ward music chairman and choir director; former counselor in Relief Society, stake music chairman, stake Primary counselor, family history librarian, branch Young Women, Relief Society and Primary president; received master's degree in music from University of Maryland; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hugh Alfred and Gladys Reid Snyder.

Marianne Kelly and Craig W. Mecham

Craig W, Mecham, 58, Federal Heights Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake; high priests group leader; former high councilor, stake Young Men president, ward Young Men president, teachers quorum adviser, bishop and missionary; business owner; received bachelor's degree in business and finance from University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Allan Elison and Marion Dixon Mecham; married Marianne Kelly; four children. She is a Relief Society compassionate service leader, former counselor in Young Women, Relief Society and Primary presidencies and member of stake Young Women board; received bachelor's degree in elementary education from University of Utah; born in Fillmore, Utah, to James Francis and Virginia Nelson Kelly.

Mary Margaret and Carleton Henry Morrison Jr.

Carleton Henry Morrison Jr., 57, Fallbrook 2nd Ward, Vista California Stake, stake director of public affairs, former mission president's counselor, San Diego California Temple executive committee member, bishop, branch president, stake mission president, and missionary in the Chilean Mission; president of Morrison & Associates Inc. and attorney; received legal degrees at George Wasington University and DePaul University; born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Carleton Henry and Linnea Johanna Augusta Setterlind Morrison; married Mary Margaret Young; six children. She is a Church service missionary in California Carlsbad Mission office; former ward Relief Society president, visiting teaching coordinator, Relief Society teacher, ward activities committee chairman, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president; executive vice president with Morrison & Associates Inc.; attended BYU; born in Provo, Utah, to Scott Richmond and Louise Leonard Young.

Darelyn and David Andreas Peterson

David Andreas Peterson, 61, Mount Vernon Ward, Mount Vernon Virginia Stake; stake president; former stake president's counselor, temple ordinance worker, LDS International Affairs Committee member, high councilor, bishop and counselor, elders quorum president and counselor, and missionary in North German and European missions; senior policy adviser for U.S. Department of Commerce; received doctorate in political economics from Johns Hopkins University, Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University, juris doctorate and MBA from George Washington University; born in San Francisco, Calif., to Paul Alton and Dorothy Lucille Peterson; married Darelyn Servoss; six children. She is a counselor in ward Relief Society presidency, stake missionary, stake cultural arts specialist, ward Young Women president and adviser, stake Young Women president, counselor in ward Primary presidency, and LDS International Affairs Committee member; attended BYU; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Darrell Roy and Dorothy Olsen Servoss.

Randall Dee and Karen Peterson

Randall Dee Peterson, 47, Cowley 2nd Ward, Lovell Wyoming Stake; Blazer Scout leader; former stake president, high councilor, bishop, ward Sunday School president, and missionary in the Philippines Mission; vice president of The Office Shop Inc.; received bachelor's degree in microbiology at BYU; born in Lovell, Wyo., to Dee Ray and Leola Rose Doty Peterson; married Karen Busteed; four children. She is a ward Primary president; former ward music director, Primary teacher, Primary music leader, counselor in stake Young Women and Primary presidencies and counselor in ward Young Women presidency; X-ray technician; received certification at School of Radiology Technology; born in Lovell, Wyo., to Richard Wardell and Shirley Ann Lewis Busteed.
