Enrique and Maria Elena Sanchez

Enrique Sanchez Casillas, 56, Reforma Ward, Tuxtla Gutierrez Central Stake, called as president of the new Tuxtla Gutierrez Mexico Temple, which will be dedicated March 12. President Sanchez' wife, Maria Elena Manchinelly de Sanchez, will serve as temple matron. President Sanchez served as regional representative, stake president and counselor, district president and branch president. A retired school district superintendent who also served as president of the New World Archaeological Foundation, he is a university graduate and was certified as a junior high school teacher. He was born in Tonala, Mexico, to Manuel Sanchez Caballero and Virginia Casillas Torres de Sanchez. Sister Sanchez is a former Relief Society and Young Women president, institute and seminary teacher, and Young Women president's counselor. She was born in Tapachula, Mexico, to Salustio Manchinelly S. and Maria Sanchez Melendez de Manchinelly.
