Barbara Anne and W. Darrell Foote

W. Darrell Foote, 60, Reno 2nd Ward, Reno Nevada North Stake, called as president of the new Reno Nevada Temple, which will be dedicated April 23, 2000. President Foote's wife, Barbara Anne Brown Foote, will serve as temple matron. President Foote served as president of the Texas Fort Worth Mission, regional representative, stake president and counselor, high councilor, stake executive secretary and bishop.

A professor emeritus from the University of Nevada, Reno, he graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree, and received master's and doctor's degrees from the University of Wisconsin in genetics and physiology. He was born in Kanab, Utah, to David L. and Elizabeth Heaton Foote.

Sister Foote is a former stake and ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president's counselor and teacher in Primary. She received a master's degree in reading from the University of Nevada, Reno. She was born in Fillmore, Utah, to Arthur C. and Nona Hatton Brown.
