During the Saturday afternoon session of general conference, the First
Presidency announced several new callings within the First and Second
Quorums of the Seventy.
New members called to the First Quorum of the Seventy:
Elder Donald L. Hallstrom, 50, of Honolulu, Hawaii, is the president of his own real estate company. He has a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and has been an Area Authority Seventy since 1997.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband, 49, of Sandy, Utah, is the former chief operations officer of Huntsman Chemical Corp. He attended the University of Utah, and is currently the Young Men president in his ward.
Elder Lance B. Wickman and Elder Lynn G. Robbins who had previously served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy were sustained as members of the First Quorum of the Seventy.

were:
Elder Douglas L. Callister, 61, of La Caada, California, has been an Area Authority Seventy since 1996. He owns and operates a law firm. He studied at Brigham Young University, the University of Southern California and Harvard.
Elder Darwin B. Christenson, 64, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, worked as a tax specialist for the church before he retired. He has a degree from Idaho State University and has completed the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Elder Keith Crockett, 66, of Pima, Ariz.,
is retired from a career in teaching and administration for the Church
Educational System. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the
University of Arizona.
Elder H. Aldridge Gillespie, 64 of Manti, is currently serving as president of the Mexico Tampico Mission. Before his call, he was the director of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Transportation Safety Institute.
Elder Robert C. Oaks, 64, of Sewickley, Pa., is senior vice president of Operations at US Airways. He has a distinguished military career as a commander in the Air Force. He studied at the Air Force Academy and Ohio State University.
