Diane and Buryl McClurg

Buryl Gene McClurg, 70, Franklin Ward, Franklin Tennessee Stake, called as president of the new Nashville Tennessee Temple, which will be dedicated May 21.

President McClurg's wife, Diane Witbeck McClurg, will serve as temple matron. President McClurg served as mission president's counselor, stake president, stake president's counselor, district president, bishop and counselor. The semi-retired owner of a small construction company, he graduated from BYU. He was born in Smackover, Ark., to Odas Huland and Lucille White McClurg.

Sister McClurg is a former Relief Society, Primary and Young Women president and ward music chairman. She attended BYU, and was born in Provo, Utah, to Martin and Venna Witbeck.
