Family: Born Feb. 17, 1939, in Glendale, Calif., to Reed Eddington and Norinne Richards Callister. Married Jeannette McKibben; six children: Paul (Virginia Campello), Kimberlee (Dean Davison), Matthew (Laura Andersen), Shannon, Amy (Ryan Hick), and Joseph; 11 grandchildren.

Education: Bachelor's degree, BYU; Juris Doctor, University of Southern California; L.L.M. degree (master's of law) Harvard University

Employment: Callister & Callister law firm, in Glendale, Calif., for past 36 years except while serving as mission president.

Church Service: Bishop, stake president, president of the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission 1975-78, early morning seminary teacher, temple sealer, regional representative, Area Authority Seventy.
