Family: Born Aug. 11, 1935, in Firth, Idaho, to Edith Olive Brough and Lars H. Christenson. Married Sandra Joelene Lyon Jan. 19, 1962, in the Idaho Falls Temple; four children: Michael D. (Shauna), C. Robert (deceased), Stephen Lars (Wendy), and Valerie Jo (Joseph) Erickson, 10 grandchildren.
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting and business, Idaho State University, 1963.
Military Service: Graduate of Idaho National Guard's Military Academy and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; Lt. Col., Idaho National Guard, 1959-1976.
Employment: Retired tax specialist for the Church (1976-1989); Idaho Tax Commission (1963-1976).
Church Service: Idaho Falls temple recorder, 1989-present; president of the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission, 1981-1984; stake president's counselor; high councilor; stake Young Men president; bishop; full time missionary in the Brazil Mission, 1956-1959.
