The First Presidency has announced the dedication and open house dates for the Houston Texas Temple.
The temple will open to the public Aug. 5, 2000, and with the exception of Sundays Aug. 6, 13 and 20, will remain open until Aug. 22, 2000.
The new temple will be dedicated on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27, 2000, in eight sessions. It will open for ordinance work on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000.
The Houston Texas Temple was announced Sept. 30, 1997, and ground was broken June 13, 1998.
