Church members from around the globe will gather together Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8, for the 170th Semiannual General Conference of the Church.

The 21,000 seat Conference Center, which hosted last April's general conference, will be dedicated during the Sunday morning session.

General sessions will be conducted at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., MDT on Saturday and Sunday. The general priesthood meeting will be conducted Saturday at 6 p.m.

All general sessions of the conference will be relayed via satellite to Church gatherings throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. Sessions will also be seen live in the Intermountain West on KSL-TV Channel 5, Salt Lake City. President Gordon B. Hinckley will preside over the conference sessions. He and his counselors in the First Presidency, President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust, will join in conducting some of the sessions.

Inspirational messages from members of the First Presidency, Quorum of the Twelve and other General Authorities and general auxiliary officers of the Church will highlight the conference.
