MESA, Ariz. — The Mesa Arizona North Stake Relief Society project, "Hands Giving Hope," culminated Sept. 23 as sisters assembled 1,043 newborn kits for the LDS Humanitarian Service Center.

The kits, said Daniel Wenger, a member of the stake, represented hundreds of hours of work quietly done in the homes of the stake. Stake members had spent three months cutting, sewing and crocheting blankets, newborn gowns and booties. They also purchased numerous bars of soap, 4,000 diapers and 4,000 pins.
