HONG KONG — David Hinton, president of the China Hong Kong Mission, attended the 30th anniversary reception of the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth Nov. 25, where he accepted, on behalf of the Church, an Outstanding Organization award.

The award, presented by Harry Fang, chairman of the advisory committee of the federation, honored those organizations that had the most volunteers participating in their Flag Day fund-raising event May 27.

More than 100 members from 10 wards, joined by 84 missionaries, volunteered to sell flags in various districts of Hong Kong.

Betty Tung, wife of the chief executive of the Hong Kong SAR government, officiated at the reception as Patron of the Federation. Other honored guests included the director of the Social Welfare Department and representatives from other organizations that have been honored in the past.
