Emelio Garcia Lopez, 70, Colli Ward, Guadalajara Mexico Moctezuma Stake, called as president of the new Guadalajara Mexico Temple, which will be dedicated April 29, 2001. President Garcia's wife, Elvira Pulido Castro de Garcia, will serve as temple matron. President Garcia, currently patriarch in the Guadalajara Mexico Moctezuma Stake, served as the first president of the Guadalajara Mexico Stake, and as Guadalajara District president, branch president, district councilor, and instructor in Sunday School, priesthood and seminary. He is the owner of a tailor shop. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, to Manuel and Tereza Lopez Portillo Finados de Garcia. Sister Garcia is a former Relief Society president, counselor, secretary and Primary teacher. She was born in San Jose, Calif., to Jose and Elvira Castro de Pulido.
