Pres. Hinckley to address young women at general meeting

Young women of the Church ages 12 to 18 are invited to join with their mothers and Young Women leaders for the General Young Women Meeting March 24. Addressing this Church satellite broadcast will be President Gordon B. Hinckley, along with members of the Young Women general presidency.
A letter from President Boyd K. Packer, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve, sent Feb. 12, 2001, to General Authorities and local priesthood leaders read: "Where possible, those who attend are encouraged to meet together in chapels to view the broadcast. The meeting will be under the direction of the stake or district presidency. The stake or district Young Women presidency should be invited to sit on the stand.
"The theme of the program is 'Let the Holy Spirit Guide,' " the letter stated.
The general meeting will be shown over the Church satellite system throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and South America at 6 p.m. (MST), with a rebroadcast at 8 p.m. Another broadcast time for Mexico, Central America and South America, as well as Europe and South Africa will be March 31 at 8 a.m. (MST). Worldwide membership can view the proceedings in English only through the Internet at www.lds.org on March 24 at 6 p.m. (MST) and March 31 at 8 a.m. The broadcast will also be archived at www.lds.org.
Viewers in Utah can see proceedings over KBYU-TV Channel 11 on March 24 at 8 p.m. and over KBYU-FM Radio (89.1 and 89.5 frequency) at 6 p.m. (MST).
