And it came to pass that many of the Lamanites did come down into the land of Zarahemla, and did declare unto the people of the Nephites the manner of their conversion, and did exhort them to faith and repentance.
Yea, and many did preach with exceedingly great power and authority, unto the bringing down many of them into the depths of humility, to be the humble followers of God and the Lamb.
And it came to pass that many of the Lamanites did go into the land northward; and also Nephi and Lehi went into the land northward, to preach unto the people.
Helaman 6:4-6
When I received my mission call I was a little disappointed to know that I was being called to serve in a different country, with another people, culture and language; so I was complaining about that and waiting for my tickets in the Mexico City travel office. As I was waiting for my interview, I took a Book of Mormon and opened it to the 6th chapter in Helaman. I read it and suddenly that sad feeling disappeared. I realized that I wasn't the only Lamanite going to the Northland to preach the gospel of Christ.
I know the Lord answered all my questions and I was able to serve a successful mission in the Idaho Pocatello Mission where I had the opportunity to teach my people in my own language, as well as a lot of my brothers and sisters in their language.
The Lord knows how one can become an instrument in His hands. Now when I have questions about something in my life, I know that the answer is in the scriptures.
