Bruce F. and Suzanne B. Sorensen
Bruce F. Sorensen, 70, Monument Park 17th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake, called as president of the Boston Massachusetts Temple, succeeding President Loren C. Dunn, who died May 16. President Sorensen's wife, Suzanne Burbidge Sorensen, will serve as temple matron. President Sorensen, first counselor in the Salt Lake Temple presidency, is a former president of the Teas Houston Mission, stake president's counselor and bishop. A neurosurgeon, he received a bachelor's degree in biological science from the University of Utah and medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He was born in Aurora, Ill., to Alton Harry and Ruth Edith Bergquist Sorensen. Sister Sorensen, assistant matron in the Salt Lake Temple, is a former member of the general music committee, stake Relief Society president and counselor in ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies; she received a bachelor's degree in music from the University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Leslie David and Grace Kirkham Burbidge.
