NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — The Newport Beach California Temple will be built on the grounds of the Newport Beach California Stake Center at 2150 Bonita Canyon Drive, it was announced this week. The temple, which will be one of the new, smaller temples, will serve the 50,000 Church members who live in the area. The First Presidency announced on April 20, 2001, that Newport Beach would be one of three California cities where temples would be built. The others are Redlands and Sacramento.
