Alan and Pauline Hogben

Don Lee Christensen, 71, Serene Ward, Las Vegas Nevada Warm Springs Stake, called as president of the Las Vegas Nevada Temple, succeeding President Paul Judd. President Christensen's wife, Lora Dee Nelson Christensen, will serve as temple matron. President Christensen served as a mission president, regional representative, stake president, and has been active in the Boulder Dam Area Scout Council. A retired general surgeon, he received bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Utah and completed his internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. He was born in Salina, Utah, to Paul DeLloyd and Gladys Christensen. Sister Christensen is a former Relief Society, Young Women and Primary president. A registered nurse, she was born in Salina, Utah, to Elmer and Margaret Nelson.

Don and Lora Dee Christensen

Alan Frank Hogben, 67, George Branch, Cape Town South Africa Stake, called as president of the Johannesburg South Africa Temple, succeeding President C. Kenneth Powrie. President Hogben's wife, Pauline Marie Rogers Hogben, will serve as temple matron. President Hogben, a patriarch, served as district president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and branch president. A retired production manager, he received a diploma as a chemical technician. He was born in Cape Town, South Africa, to James Walter and Beatrice Lilian Sala Hogben. Sister Hogben is a former Relief Society and Young Women president, counselor in a Primary presidency, and Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary teacher. She was born in Benoni, South Africa, to William Sebastian and Ida Dora Marcus Rogers.
