Allan Dewane Alder, 66, Sandstone Ward, Hermiston Oregon Stake, called as president of the new Columbia River Washington Temple. His wife, Roma Lee Powell Alder, will serve as temple matron. President Alder, a patriarch, has served as a stake president, high councilor, bishop and counselor. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 1995. He was born in Weiser, Idaho, to Dewane W. and Della Weber Alder. Sister Alder is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society president and counselor. She was born in Beaver, Utah, to Albert William and Myrtle Mary Woolsey Powell.

William Campbell, 68, East Coast Bays Ward, Auckland New Zealand Harbour Stake, called as president of the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, succeeding President Rulon G. Craven. President Campbell's wife, Kathleen Smith Campbell, will serve as temple matron. President Campbell has served as a stake president, high councilor and mission president. He is retired from administration as board chairman of a technology company. He was born in Methil, Scotland, to William and Margaret Campbell. Sister Campbell is a former stake primary president and ward Primary and Relief Society president. She was born in Dysart, Scotland, to William and Catherine H. Dalgleish Heron.

Fernando Rogelio Gomez, 61, Pleasant View 5th Ward, Provo Utah Sharon East Stake, called as president of the Merida Mexico Temple, succeeding President Nefi Trevino Allison. President Gomez' wife, Enriqueta Pina Gomez, will serve as temple matron. President Gomez has served as mission training center president in Chile, regional representative, mission president and counselor in a stake presidency. Retired as president and owner of the Museum of Mormon History in Mexico, he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at BYU. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, to Raymundo G. and Consuelo Paez Gomez. Sister Gomez has served as ward Primary, Relief Society and Young Women president. She was born in Los Mochis, Mexico, to David and Enrigueta dela Mora Pina.

Mosese Veuki Kaumatule, 63, Foui Ward, Nuku'alofa Tonga West Stake, called as president of the Nuku'alofa Tonga Temple, succeeding President Sione M. Fineanganofo. President Kaumatule's wife, Luseane Heuifanga Kaumatule, will serve as temple matron. President Kaumatule is a patriarch and has served in a temple presidency and as a stake president, and bishop and counselor. He retired as supervisor of ground work for Liahona High School physical facilities. He was born in Foui Hihifo, Tonga, to Soakai and Ilaissane Maasi Kaumatule. Sister Kaumatule has served as ward Primary, Relief Society and Young Women president. She was born in Foui Hihifo, Tonga, to Viliami Tuione and Hepisipa Masila Matelau.

Jay Myrven Smith Jr., 69, Oak Hills 4th Ward, Provo Utah Oak Hills Stake, called as president of the Provo Utah Temple, succeeding President Dean L. Larsen. President Smith's wife, Jena Vee Smith, will serve as temple matron. President Smith has served as a mission president, stake president, high councilor and bishop. A retired professor of accountancy, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU and a doctorate from Stanford University. He was born in Denver, Colo., to Jay Myrven and Relia Cooley Smith. Sister Smith has served as a Primary president and missionary. She was born in Driggs, Idaho, to Voss Christian and Lydia Emma Fullmer Gordon.

George Dale Weight, 67, Springville Ward, Cedar Mill Oregon Stake, called as president of the Portland Oregon Temple, succeeding President Keith L. Sellers. President Weight's wife, Carilee Kesler Weight, will serve as temple matron. President Weight has served as a regional representative, temple sealer, stake president and counselor, high councilor and senior missionary. He is a retired educator and financial businessman. He was born in Salt Lake City to Sheldon James and Florence Beatrice Brailsford Weight. Sister Weight has served as a senior missionary, stake Young Women president, stake Relief Society president and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Beaverton, Ore., to Vibert L. and Fern Goodfellow Kesler.

Hunter, Santiago Chile Temple; Clifford E. and Sandra J. Carroll, Atlanta Georgia Temple; Jerry D. and Donnetta Wheat, Hong Kong China Temple; and Dean L. and Leonora Mae Larsen, Lima Peru Temple.
