Tickets for the Nauvoo Illinois Temple open house have been in great demand since they became available Nov. 1, said Craig Haslam of Church Public Affairs.

The open house will be May 18-June 22, 2002, with the dedication scheduled June 27-30. The free tickets for the open house are available through the Church's Internet site at www.lds.org/nauvoo or by calling toll free in the United States at (800) 537-6719.

"More than 150,000 tickets were reserved during the first two weeks of the internet and telephone ticketing process," Brother Haslam said. "Requests have come from every state in the U.S. and from 20 other countries."

Brother Haslam noted that the web site provides "a wealth of information about the Nauvoo Temple, such as history, construction photos, map and driving directions, in addition to having a link to the open house information and ticketing page.
