President Gordon B. Hinckley welcomed a packed crowd to the Conference Center Feb. 5 for the premiere of the "Light of the World." Lauding the production, President Hinckley said, "I hope you will find it beautiful, informative and entertaining."

Accompanying the Church presidentwere his counselors in the First Presidency, President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust. Before President Hinckley's brief remarks, Presiding Bishop H. David Burton welcomed those in attendance, giving special recognition to International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge and other IOC members, as well as Mitt Romney, president of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee. Also present were Utah Gov. Michael O. Leavitt and other government and civic leaders.

The evening's performance was dedicated as a benefit for Olympic Aid, a charity to benefit children throughout the world. Elder Henry B. Eyring of the Quorum of the Twelve offered the invocation.
