Kathy Ross figures that volunteering to greet guests during the Olympics is "a once-in-a-lifetime experience."

She works 10 1/2 hours a day and sometimes gets to chat with visitors from other countries as she helps them find their seats or directs them around The Peaks Ice Arena during hockey games.

"When I ask them how they like Utah, I get all good comments," she said. "They like the mountains and the friendly people."
