JAKARTA, Indonesia — Laboring in makeshift kitchens, members of the Church in the Jakarta District helped prepare more than 10,000 meals to feed some of the 30,000 victims left homeless due to severe flooding that has devastated parts of Indonesia.

Tents were erected in a Church parking lot as well as other locations, and then kitchen facilities were installed. Members, along with their friends and neighbors, chopped fresh vegetables, cooked rice and meats, and packaged fresh drinking water. The meals were wrapped and distributed throughout Jakarta and surrounding areas.
