Jay and Alice Jensen

Jay B. Jensen, 65, Lubbock 4th Ward, Lubbock Texas Stake, called as president of the new Lubbock Texas Temple, which will be dedicated April 21, 2002. President Jensen's wife, Alice Marie Jensen Jensen, will serve as temple matron. President Jensen, Lubbock Texas Temple committee coordinator, has served as temple ordinance worker, stake president and counselor, mission president's counselor and bishop. He is a retired cardiologist. He was born in In Gunnison, Utah, to Bert F. and Naoma Bessey Jensen.

Sister Jensen is a music subcommittee chairman for the temple open house and has served as ward organist, Primary and Relief Society accompanist and Primary and Young Women president. She was born in Centerfield, Utah, to Ralph L. and Ida Edwards Jensen. They are parents of six children.
