Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. They are:

Janice and Keith Anderson

Keith A. Anderson, 65, Washington Kennewick Mission; Taylor 3rd Ward, Ogden Utah West Stake; retired school teacher; currently serving as missionary in Sweden Stockholm Mission; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and Young Men president; born in Ogden, Utah, to Joseph A. and Katherine Rebecca Potter Anderson. Married Janice Stratford, four children.

A missionary in the Sweden Stockholm Mission, she has served as Relief Society president's counselor and teacher, Primary music leader and extraction worker. She was born in Ogden, Utah, to Arvel Edwin and June Taylor Stratford.

Rendal Vaughn Broomhead, 63, Samoa Apia Mission; Vancouver 1st Ward, Vancouver Washington West Stake; organizational development manager for Weyerhaeuser Co.; full-time missionary in the Japan Nagoya Mission; former stake president's counselor, high councilor, stake Young Men president and bishop; born in Murray, Utah, to Spencer Davis and June Ballard Broomhead. Married Beverly Sue Patten, four children.

A full-time missionary in the Japan Nagoya Mission, she has served as ward music chairman, Relief Society and Young Women president and stake Relief Society president's counselor. She was born in Glendale, Calif., to Donald Stanford Patten and Elaine Madelaine McGregor Patten Cassidy.

Peter F. Evans, 43, Minnesota Minneapolis Mission; Valley View 1st Ward, Salt Lake Valley View Stake; president/owner of Evans Communications/Fairways Corp.; mission president's counselor, former stake mission president, bishop and counselor and Young Men president; born in Torrance, Calif., to David Cannon and Beverly Joy Frewin Evans. Married Linda Ann Christensen, five children.

She is a Relief Society teacher and former ward music chairman, Primary chorister, Sunday School and seminary teacher. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joe J. and Barbara Ida Kohler Christensen.

Wynn Howard Hemmert, 58, Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission; Hillcrest 6th Ward, Orem Utah Hillcrest 6th Ward; physician, Central Utah Medical Clinic; mission president's counselor and former stake president, high councilor and bishop and bishop's counselor; born in Afton, Wyo., to George Howard and Estella Heap Hemmert. Married Joyce Duffin, six children.

She is a Relief Society teacher and has been Primary and Relief Society president, gospel doctrine teacher and Primary chorister. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jesse William and Martina Dalebout Duffin.

John C. Riding, 62, Ghana Accra Mission; full-time missionary in North Carolina Raleigh Mission, Mapleton Utah Stake; former vice president of human resources, AirTouch Communications; former stake president and counselor, stake missionary, family history consultant and deacons quorum adviser; born in St. George, Utah, to Edwin D and Kathleen Cottam Riding. Married Naomi Meservy, seven children.

She is a missionary in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission, and has served as president, counselor and teacher in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society, and taught seminary. She was born in Provo, Utah, to Edward Southwick and Lucile Hansen Meservy.

Ivan Lee Thomas, 61, Mexico Veracruz Mission; Farmington 3rd Ward, Farmington New Mexico Stake; school teacher; stake clerk, former stake mission president, high councilor, branch president's counselor and stake missionary; born in Alamosa, Colo., to Ivan Mickelsen and Mildred Reynolds Thomas. Married Linda Loraine Ealey, five children.

A school teacher, she is serving as gospel doctrine teacher and is a former Primary, Young Women and Relief Society president and nursery leader. She was born in Alamosa, Colo., to Harold and Frances Aileen Wilson Ealey.

Allan Jay Webb, 47, Venezuela Caracas Mission; Rexburg 16th Ward, Rexburg Idaho East Stake, president/owner AM Trading; bishop, former high councilor, bishop's counselor, elders quorum president, counselor and Young Men president; born in Powell, Wyo., to A. Jay and Maxine Draper Webb. Married Merrilee Murdoch, five children.

She is owner/partner of WW Splash, Feux Painting, and is Primary president and has served as Primary Achievement Day Leader, Primary and Young Women presidents' counselor, Den Leader and Relief Society teacher. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gilbert Dean and Darlene Johnson Murdoch.

LaRon Palmer Woolley, 63, Suva Fiji Mission; Grand Prairie 2nd Ward, Grand Prairie Alberta Stake; instructor emeritus, Grande Prairie Regional College; patriarch, former district and branch president, temple ordinance worker, choir director and seminary teacher; born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Joseph Anderson and Zelda Palmer Woolley. Married Elizabeth Hollister Sheppard, six children.

A piano teacher, she is stake music chairman and gospel doctrine teacher and former stake Relief Society president's counselor and district and branch Primary president. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, to John Hollister and Emma Fisher Sheppard.
