"Brethren, I am delighted to be with you this evening. I, too, want to speak specifically with the young men of the Aaronic Priesthood. . . . I hope in some small way, this evening, that you can learn from my nearly seventy years of traveling this road we call life."

"Recently, some members of my family determined it would be fun to bicycle from Bozeman, Mont. to Jackson Hole, Wyo." The journey would take three days.

"As we traveled along, dark clouds gathered and brought rain which eventually became sleet and hail and made us extremely cold and wet and miserable. . . . I was reminded that life can be just like that day." Fortunately, we were prepared. At each stage in life we should set out full of hope and optimism, but be prepared for hardships. The patterns you establishes in youth follow you. By making right choices now, you can endure cold and bleak moments later.

"On day two of our trip . . . everything was at it should be." If we're not careful at such times, there's a temptation to take credit instead of remembering our Heavenly Father. Remember the source of your blessings.

"On day three of our journey, I learned that even though we may have some uphill struggles in our lives, our attitude will determine how we face them."

"Our family concluded the 225-mile bicycle journey" and learned that great happiness awaits those who keep the commandments and endure.

"My dear young friends, please know the importance of being wise by following the counsel of our prophets."
