Elder William R. Walker said that as as a little boy growing up in Raymond, Alberta, he loved to sing the hymn, "I Will Go Where You What Me To Go."

"Those words, each time we sang them in a sacrament meeting or Sunday School, burned commitment into my heart and my soul," said Elder Walker, who was sustained as a new member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy Saturday afternoon.

Speaking in the Sunday afternoon session, Elder Walker said that he has always wanted to go where the Lord wants him to go, to do what the Lord wants him to do. " 'I will be what you want me to be dear Lord' — that commitment seems appropriate to restate today."

Elder Walker said he was grateful for the members' sustaining vote the day before. "And with you I sustain President Gordon B. Hinckley and his counselors, President [Thomas S.] Monson and President [James E.] Faust and President [Boyd K.] Packer and all of the [Quorum of the] Twelve, as prophets, seers and revelators. I bear witness that, indeed, they are prophets, seers and revelators.

"I love the Lord. I love this Church. I love the wonderful, faithful Saints throughout the world who do all that they can to honor their commitments and to live their religion. I bear witness that God lives, and that Jesus Christ, His son, is our Savior and our Redeemer. I love Him. I want to do all that I can to serve as He would have me serve."
