Had the early Latter-day Saints been able to stay in Nauvoo another 10 years, they would have decorated the Nauvoo Temple in a "wonderful way," said Bruce R. Finlinson, manager of interior design for the Nauvoo temple in the Temple Construction Department. And that's the way the Church has decorated the new Nauvoo Illinois Temple — in a "wonderful way." Period-style artwork, furniture, decorations and color schemes reflect the best of the mid-1840s when the Church was constructing the original temple.
