Some 18,000 participants converged May 2-3 for general sessions, workshops and service projects during the 2002 BYU Women's Conference. Women from throughout the United States, and from Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico attended four general sessions and 74 concurrent sessions featuring some 153 presenters.

Conference-goers also gave their time at service projects for Church Humanitarian Services, including cutting fleece for some 2,000 children's hats and 2,000 children's jackets, assembling 67,445 hygiene kits and 14,910 school kits, among many other items. The women also served in community-based projects, including making Braille boards and canvas sound boxes.
