Family: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ezra T. and Maude Erickson Clark. Married George Cannon Pingree, five children: Mary-Margaret (Matthew Durham), Megan Pingree, Daniel J. (Kristin), Anne-Katherine (Matthew Pugmire), Clark C.; four grandchildren.

Church service: Serving as stake Relief Society president at time of call to Relief Society general presidency; served with husband when he presided over the Nigeria Port Harcourt Mission (1995-1998), former member of Relief Society general board, counselor in stake Young Women presidency and ward Primary president.

Education: Bachelor's degree in English from University of Utah, with teaching certificate (1963).

Professional/community service: substitute teacher in France in U.S. military schools; volunteer with Literacy Volunteers of America; "I Can Read Program" with Utah State Office of Education.
