A site for the San Antonio Texas Temple, announced by President Gordon B. Hinckley last summer during a visit to San Antonio, has been announced by the First Presidency.BR>

The location of the temple will be at Stone Oak Parkway at Hardy Oak Boulevard. "The announcement of this new temple reflects the growing membership and faith of Church members in Texas," said Laurence M. Neuberger, president of the San Antonio Texas East Stake. "This temple will bless not only Church members, but will enhance neighborhoods, communities and cities."

Construction is expected to start early next year and the building will be of the smaller temple design, approximately 15,000 square feet, similar to the one dedicated earlier this year in Lubbock.
