The Los Angeles Temple site was the location of a meeting of the First Presidency on Monday, Sept. 15, 1952, according to the Sept. 20, 1952, Church News.

They met "for the consideration of property matters and construction problems," the article stated. The grounds were being excavated for the temple foundation.

According to the article: "President David O. McKay left Salt Lake City last Saturday morning accompanied by Mrs. McKay, to spend the week in this area, resting and making preparations for the approaching general conference.

"His two counselors, President Stephen L Richards and President J. Reuben Clark Jr., traveling by train, joined him on the temple site Monday morning and then returned to Salt Lake City early Tuesday."
