In today's world of conflict, which has been prophesied in scripture, the pathway to peace is to come unto Jesus Christ and be personal peacemakers.

"Scripture sheds light on both the cause and the cure for the sickness of human hatred: 'The natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ.' " (Mosiah 3:19)

Christ taught people to love the Lord, their neighbors and their enemies as well as to live the Golden Rule.

"This concept of treating others as one would like to be treated is easy to understand. And it acknowledges the precious nature of each of God's sons and daughters."

We have also been taught to forgive one another and that we will be judged of how we have treated others.

Many church members will serve in the military for their country. As we read in the Articles of Faith we should be subject to rulers and obey the law.

Although some may think world peace is beyond hope, that is not the case.

"Peace is possible. We can learn to love our fellow human beings throughout the world. . . . Peace is a prime priority that pleads for our pursuit."

As church members, we should become personal peacemakers, share the gospel, serve others and stand for the right.

"We should live peaceably, as couples, families and neighbors. We should live by the Golden Rule."
