Family: Born Dec. 28, 1938, to Uel A. and Lolita Hodges Garn in Tremonton, Utah; married Irene Hall Dec. 19, 1961, in the Logan Utah Temple; six children, Brad (Laura), Dana (Steve) Garry, Gayla (Chuck) Peterson, Greg (Rebecca), Byron (Michelle), Kevin (Tara); 18 grandchildren.
Church Service: Area Authority Seventy; regional representative, mission president's counselor; stake president, high councilor, bishop and served as full-time missionary in Western Canadian Mission.
Education: Received bachelor's degree from Utah State University and a DDS degree from Western Reserve University, followed by a master's degree in orthodontics from Temple University.
Employment: Professionally employed 34 years as an orthodontist.
