ENTERPRISE, Ala. A booth distributing free Church literature centering on the family was part of the Annual Boll Weevil Fall Festival held Oct. 26 in Enterprise, Ala.
Videos and pamphlets explaining the importance of strong families were available to the public. Staffed by full-time missionaries of the Florida Tallahassee Mission serving in the Enterprise Ward, Dothan Alabama Stake, the booth provided great exposure for the Church in the city of 21,000. The annual festival commemorates the agricultural diversification to peanuts that came about in 1915 and 1916 as the boll weevil ravaged more than 60 percent of the cotton crops in the area.
