LA VEGA, Dominican Republic — When the Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple was dedicated in September 2000, members of the La Vega Dominican Republic Stake decided they would support a weekly temple trip. Since that time two years ago, the stake members have made the two-hour trip weekly, missing only days that fell on a national holiday or were threatened by a possible hurricane.
