Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

We celebrate a singular event in the history of the world at this time of year: the birth of Jesus Christ — the Messiah, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. His birth was foretold by the Prophet Isaiah seven hundred years before the actual event occurred. Isaiah declared the glad tidings in these simple words: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).

May you find peace in this Christmas season and throughout the coming year as you apply the Savior's teachings in your life.

Sincerely,

The First Presidency
