PHILADELPHIA Philadelphia Eagles head football coach Andy Reid, a Latter-day Saint, was recently named the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year. He earned 35 votes for the honor, far ahead of Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher who finished second with six votes. Reid led his 2002 team to a 12-4 regular season record and a spot in the NFC championship game in which it lost to Tampa Bay. Reid, who was an offensive lineman for BYU from 1978 to 1980, has been the Eagles' head coach since 1999.
